The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that has been helping cats and dogs in our area since 1972. Whether you're looking for the perfect pet to adopt, wanting to get involved by fostering or volunteering, needing help getting your own animals neutered, or just looking for helpful information, you've come to the right place!

Pets of the Week

Pebbles (ID #23572) isa very pretty 5 year old cat. She has a bluish gray coat with a white spot on her chin and under her neck and four white paws. Pebbles was well cared for by her previous owner and had been with him since a kitten, but due to her owner's relocation, Pebbles was brought to the humane society for a new start in life. She’s just been with us for a few days, but seems adaptable to new situations and it would be wonderful if Pebbles could quickly find that special person to give her a second chance.

Denny (ID #23192) is a handsome little 16 week old puppy. He is definitely a mix of several breeds, but his coloring resembles a Weimaraner. He will probably be a medium to large dog when full grown. Denny is very alert and active. He has several playmates in his kennel and they are always ready for playtime. Denny has been neutered and is hoping for a family that will give him attention, love and training so that he will become a loyal friend and companion
